Transfer Talk: Barcelona ready to prepare offer for Olmo

Barcelona have reportedly made a huge offer to Dani Olmo in a bid to land the RB Leipzig and Spain star this summer.

Mundo Deportivo are reporting that Barcelona have offered a six-year deal and are willing to pay his €60 million release clause.

Olmo’s release clause is due to expire shortly but the report claims Barcelona have managed to negotiate an extension for a few more weeks.

The Spain star is now set to consider the deal as he contemplates a move away from the Bundesliga side.

Barcelona are said to have offered a deal with a salary that rises after the first two seasons - similar to that offered to Robert Lewandowski and Nico Williams.

Olmo also has offers from Manchester City, Bayern, Liverpool and Manchester United as he plots his next move.

The forward has previously said he’d love to return to Barcelona and has also admitted recently he’s told his agents what he wants to do next.

Quite how Barcelona plan to afford a deal for Olmo, as well as Nico Williams who is the club’s top target, remains to be seen.

There has been talk Barcelona could be willing to sell an “important” player to finance a deal for Olmo, but no mention of who that might be or whether a transfer is realistic this summer.
