Chelsea will look to complete a £60 million move for Crystal Palace winger Michael Olise regardless of who their next manager is, according to The Mirror.
Mauricio Pochettino left Chelsea by mutual consent after just one season in charge on Tuesday. Sources told ESPN that Pochettino, 52, departed following talks in the past 48 hours with co-owner Behdad Eghbali and co-sporting directors Paul Winstanley and Laurence Stewart.
Kieran McKenna, Roberto De Zerbi, Enzo Maresca and Thomas Frank are in the frame to be the Blues' next manager with a decision expected next week.
But the club are already committed to improving the squad, despite spending £1 billion on new players since the Boehly-Clearlake Capital takeover of May 2022. Olise is top of their shortlist but Manchester United, Arsenal, Newcastle United and Liverpool also want the 22-year-old.

Araujo to leave Barcelona?
Barcelona's contract talks with defender Ronald Araujo have stalled, according to HITC.
Araujo, 25, is one of the top defenders in the world and his transfer is rated at over €80m. But Barcelona are struggling financially and are set for a summer rebuild under new boss Hansi Flick, so they could opt to move him on.
Chelsea, Liverpool and Manchester United want to bring in the Uruguay international if he becomes available and all have the funds to make it happen.
Will Man United swap Hojlund for Osimhen?
Manchester United could look to swap striker Rasmus Hojlund for Napoli's Victor Osimhen, according to football agent Andrea D’Amico.
United only landed Hojlund for €72m from Atalanta last year -- and, after a slow start, he bagged 16 goals and two assists in 42 games -- but could use him as a bargaining chip to land Osimhen, who has a €130m release clause and is keen to depart Napoli this summer.
D’Amico, who doesn't represent either player, told Radio Kiss Kiss: “He [Osimhen] doesn’t go to Barcelona and Real Madrid and if he doesn’t go to PSG or Bayern either, he will only be left with the Premier League.
“Osimhen-Hojlund exchange with United? It’s feasible, Manchester United respects the characteristics where Osimhen could play, in short, it’s a plausible scenario.”

Bayern want De Jong
Florian Plettenberg has stated that Barcelona midfielder Frenkie de Jong remains on Bayern Munich’s radar and they are monitoring the situation at the Blaugrana this summer.
However, he adds that the situation hasn’t changed and the Bavarian club aren’t pushing to sign the 27-year-old at this stage.
Sessegnon to leave Spurs
Tottenham winger Ryan Sessegnon will leave on a free transfer once his contract expires this summer, says Football Insider.
Sessegnon, 24, moved from Fulham for £25m in 2019 and was tipped for a bright future. But injuries have hindered his development and he managed just seven minutes of football this season.
The England U21 international will look to restart his career at a different club and there are a host of teams who will be interested.
Meanwhile Tottenham are reported to be open to offers to sign Emerson Royal, Richarlison, Joe Rodon, Sergio Reguilon, Giovani Lo Celso, Bryan Gil, Djed Spence, Japhet Tanganga and Tanguy Ndombele.
Coutinho to return to Vasco?
Aston Villa midfielder Philippe Coutinho is set for a return to Brazil, says UOL.
Coutinho, 31, has struggled in recent seasons -- at Barcelona, then Villa, amid a host of loan spells -- and is now ready to head back to play for his boyhood club Vasco da Gama.
Villa could allow him to leave on a free transfer, which would make things easier.
Liverpool join Yoro race
Liverpool have joined the race to sign Lille wonderkid Leny Yoro, says Gianluca Di Marzio.
Yoro, 18, is one of the top young defenders in Europe and already has Real Madrid, PSG and Manchester United interested in his services.
The centre-back has a contract which expires in 2025, so Lille may be forced into doing a €50m deal now rather than risk losing him for nothing next year.

Rafael Leao happy to stay in Milan
AC Milan winger Rafael Leao is set to stay at the club, according to Rudy Galetti.
Leao, 25, has a €175m release clause in his contract and has attracted interest from Saudi club Al Hilal. But the Portugal international is not looking to head to the SPL any time soon and is happy to stay.
PSG and Chelsea have also been linked with Leao.
Dortmund keen to land Sancho
Borussia Dortmund want to sign Manchester United winger Jadon Sancho permanently, says Sky Germany.
Sancho, 24, has impressed on loan at Dortmund after falling out with Man United boss Erk ten Tag.
United want to make a profit on the €85m they spent to sign him from Dortmund a few years ago, so a summer deal is unlikely as Dortmund deem that asking price to be too high.

Barça linked with Obando
Barcelona have held talks over the potential signing of young Ecuador forward Allen Obando, according to Diario Sport.
Curiously, Obando, 17, currently plays for Barcelona Sporting Club, a team based in the Ecuadorian city of Guayaquil.
He made his senior debut for Barcelona SC in 2022 and is now a regular for his club, while has already been capped twice by his country.
Manchester City and Borussia Dortmund have previously been credited with an interest in Obando, but it is now Barça pushing to get his signing over the line.

Milan, Juve want Hummels
AC Milan and Juventus are both very interested in signing Borussia Dortmund centre-back Mats Hummels on a free transfer, as has been reported by Sport Bild.
Hummels' contract with Dortmund comes to an end on June 30 and there are still plenty of options as the 35-year-old could end his career, stay with the UEFA Champions League finalists, or move to a foreign country.
The latter option has become more likely because of the interest of Milan and Juventus, especially as both clubs have the ambition to win titles. There is also the fact that his son and ex-wife live in Munich, with the journey to Milan or Turin not being any longer than it is to go to Dortmund.
Hummels has a strong reputation in Italy, which was added to when he put in an impressive performance against the Rossoneri in the Champions League earlier this season. That has left a lasting impression on the two clubs now interested.
Hummels can imagine making a move within the Bundesliga or going to a neighbouring country, but his decision will only be made after the Champions League final against Real Madrid.
After that, there will be talks between Hummels, his father and advisor Hermann and sports director Sebastian Kehl with a stay at Dortmund also being conceivable.
PAPER TALK (by Danny Lewis)
- Paris Saint-Germain have left Napoli concerned about the future of Khvicha Kvaratskhelia after making a €100 million offer for the winger, according to Gazzetta dello Sport. Even though the 23-year-old's contract runs until 2027, club president Aurelio De Laurentiis is trying to renew the Georgia international's deal but has offered €4m-per-year plus bonuses, while Kvaratskhelia wants a basic rate of €5m. The concern surrounding the idea of Kvaratskhelia leaving is added to by Victor Osimhen's likely departure.
- Saudi Pro League clubs will attempt to sign Liverpool winger Mohamed Salah and Manchester City midfielder Kevin De Bruyne as free agents in 2025 if they are unable to sign them this summer, reports The Telegraph. Salah has already been the subject of a rejected £150m offer from Al Ittihad.
- Barcelona are interested in Mio Backhaus following the goalkeeper's impressive performances on loan at Volendam from Werder Bremen, as reported by Sky Sports Deutschland. The 20-year-old could still return to his parent club and compete to be their starting goalkeeper, while several clubs have already enquired about him.
- Borussia Dortmund, RB Leipzig and Bayer Leverkusen are all keeping an eye on Mainz winger Brajan Gruda, reports Sky Sports Deutschland, who add that there is also interest from Spain, England and Italy in the 19-year-old. Gruda's contract runs until 2026 and doesn't include a release clause, while Mainz are reluctant to let him leave and could demand over €30m.
