Villa fan, I can't say anything other than incredible. A Europa Conference League final/win would have been the cherry on top, but I tip my hat to an Olympiacos team who played brilliant. To get Champions League football at Villa Park is unbelievable. Emery is a genius; navigated injuries and rotation brilliantly. It's going to be a great summer!

It has been an excellent season for Aston Villa, who will be back in the Champions League/European Cup for the first time in 41 years next season!

Arne Slot will arrive at Liverpool after three years in charge of Feyenoord where he delivered one Eredivisie title, the Dutch Cup and reached the Europa Conference League final.

He has big shoes to fill. Klopp won a place in the hearts of Liverpool fans, creating memories that will last a lifetime.

The Reds won the Premier League, Champions League, FA Cup, two EFL Cups, the Fifa Club World Cup and Uefa Super Cup during nine entertaining years under the German.

But with Klopp gone, Liverpool have turned to a Dutchman who has constantly overachieved with his teams in the Netherlands so far.

Could Slot, who turned down Tottenham interest 12 months ago to stay at Feyenoord, prove to be the next big thing?

And what will Liverpool look like under the man who lists Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola as one of his biggest inspirations?

Neil Atkinson, from The Anfield Wrap podcast, on Jurgen Klopp's successor Arne Slot: “Jurgen’s always said is the job’s been to put the building blocks in place for the next fella. So Slot’s job is to capitalise on that and enjoy the fruits of all of that, and hopefully deliver a fair amount of silverware. I see no reason why he can’t do that.

“Let’s see what he’s up to, let’s see what he’s got, let’s see what he’s about.”

  8. '2018 was best year to be a Liverpool fan - because of Klopp'published at 12:14

Liverpool v Wolves (Sun, 16:00 BST)

    BBC 5 Live Breakfast

Neil Atkinson, from The Anfield Wrap podcast, on what he would say to Jurgen Klopp now: “The greatest memories - there’s the big ones like the one he referenced yesterday, the Barcelona game (2019 Champions League comeback). For me there’s the small things, the building blocks. That’s been the incredible part, the process. You’ll remember lifting the European Cup, the Premier League title run.

“The whole of 2018 was incredible, it was the determination I think. If I could relive one year of my life as a Liverpool supporter it would be 2018, despite everything in 2019. For me, that was the brilliance of Klopp. It was the brilliance of the journey, it was genuinely no messing around and it was the greatest year to be a Liverpool supporter and that was because of Jurgen Klopp."

  9. Klopp's leadership has been a 'huge act of togetherness'published at 12:05

Liverpool v Wolves (Sun, 16:00 BST)

    BBC 5 Live Breakfast

Neil Atkinson from The Anfield Wrap podcast was at Jurgen Klopp's final pre-match news conference on Friday and was asked if it was emotional: "Yes, of course it was. He's managed with emotion all the way through. He's harnessed what is an exceptionally emotional place and emotional fanbase from all over the world and that's been part of the magic of the whole thing. Also, the way in which he's aimed to lead the club – it's been a huge act of togetherness.

"It's going to be a sad day at Anfield tomorrow. I think he's going to find himself very upset indeed but all things must pass, he's got a life to go and live.

"Now we find ourselves at the end of this process and we've all been able to prepare for it for an extended period of time. It's no longer a shock, everyone's known it's on the cards and we've got tomorrow to celebrate the whole thing and play a game of football."

All this talk about Slot and Liverpool, nobody seems to care that Dutch managers don’t fare well in the Premier League. Of the 9 previous Dutchmen, only Hiddink has had any real success. Liverpool fans beware, you could be the next Man Utd.

  11. Title race 'turned around massively' since Hayes said it was overpublished at 11:50

Chelsea fan Jenny Symmons on Emma Hayes previously conceding the WSL title race: "So, she is a maverick, I guess, is one way to put it. She says unpredictable things. But that was a low point when we lost to Liverpool that evening.

"She said she wanted to take the pressure off the players by saying she thought the title race had gone, then we saw an amazing comeback in the next game. We won 8-0 against Bristol City in the last home game for Emma so it has turned around massively."

Manchester City fan Charlotte Wilkins added: "After losing to Arsenal the other week we lost a bit of hope. Chelsea beat Bristol City 8-0 but to only score one against Tottenham, I feel like it’s given us a chance.

"We do need to score a lot today to secure the win. Part of us will be checking the Man United v Chelsea score hoping Man United will win today at Old Trafford."

  12. Man City have 'crazy' away following at Villapublished at 11:45

Aston Villa v Man City (15:00 BST)

    BBC 5 Live Breakfast

Manchester City fan Charlotte Wilkins on their final WSL game at Aston Villa: "It's a fantastic season to be in the title race at the end. I'm really proud of the season. [There's been] such togetherness in the team, they've really stuck together for two seasons now.

"It's really exciting to see them play. There’s three buses of fans going [to Villa Park], which is crazy because it’s usually 20 of us on away days. It's fantastic to see the growth of the fanbase following the team this season."

If Emma Hayes is so keen to see more English women coaches in the WSL, as she has previously said, why is she going to America to coach? Surely, if she thinks she has achieved as much as she can in the English game with Chelsea, take a job with another English club and build up a new team to challenge for honours, prove she can do that.

  14. 'Hayes' legacy will go on forever'published at 11:35

Man Utd v Chelsea (15:00 BST)

    BBC 5 Live Breakfast

Chelsea fan Jenny Symmons on Emma Hayes' departure: "I think for a lot of us Chelsea fans, it's the end of a hugely successful era. Emma’s run Chelsea women for the past 12 years, which is the whole time period when women’s football has massively grown, so a lot of the fanbase, we only know Emma.

"She's got a really unique personality, she's very well known across the world for improving women's football and being an amazing advocate for female athletes in general, as well as delivering trophy after trophy for Chelsea. So yeah, it is emotional and a bit unnerving but we know today - like she said - regardless of what happens, the team will be so appreciative and her legacy will go on forever. Even if we don’t win the title, she’ll be a legend forever."
